@kkppgvr You can definitely flash OpenWRT on but don't hope for anyone to guide you since nobody has done it so far. It takes a lot of time to understand the inner workings of the router to make modifications to it.
Also, don't ask questions like "What are the advantages of getting root access?"
ChatGPT can answer those questions.
@kkppgvr The router is already running OpenWrt with Jio's modifications. From what I’ve observed, most of the original OpenWrt firmware remains intact. The modifications appear to be layered on top of the firmware rather than altering it directly.
Additionally, if your subscription has ended, you’ll likely need to return the devices (ODU, IDU, and STB) to Jio. These items are valued in the tens of thousands, and Jio isn’t giving them away for free. If you haven’t recharged your account yet, you can expect a follow-up call soon.
