1) I have an iPhone 5S. Can I make call using R-Jio? only 6& 6+ supports VoLTE.
2) Is VoLTE a software based thing or needs anything in the handset.

U cant call from your 4g phone because they dont have voice licence so if u insert sim in ur phone only you can use internet n max speed is around 12 mbps
For voice call you have use their devices and when you can call at end of call you see this amount cut from your balance but in Jio data balance cut message you will see..
Because lack of 2g license they produce VoLte thing .. so no basic voice calls on jio

Yes your phone will be useless with jio sim card for calling .you need their phone ... for calling.
You have use their low end device. ..
Or wait for airtel 4g in your state [emoji12]

Rcom is also comjng with jio tie up after March so you can use that in iPhone or any other phone
