Hello! I did book my appointment for the STB Delivery for today. But, Jio Executive cancelled it without even calling me.

Reason: Customer declined and showing no interest at the time of delivery.

He didn't even visit me or pressed door bell.

Upon complaining to Jio Team, they have said "You first have to recharge and then only STB will be given to you".

I am asking you all, is it the right case or anyone have received STB in recent days without moving to paid plan?

Or did you recharge first to receive STB

Yes you need to recharge with a paid plan first. They would not give the free STB to a preview / migration plan user and there's nothing wrong in it. But the approach of cancelling the appointment without even calling you is not right.

Yes, I have already mailed them but they are not replying to my tweets, not answering to my emails. I called them via. Customer Care and they are saying to email.

I am taking this opportunity to at-least get STB since they are offering it for free right now. There are chances they might start charging for it.

Specially if they get good customer base.

We can always refund and give the boxes back when they go forward with my disconnection.

Right now, What I am doing is totally into my right capacity, since they asked for the money while installing the connection and told me I will get the STB for free when it will be launched.

Jio is changing promises again and again. (They never mentioned I will have to recharge since some customers got the STB even without recharging).

I am currently on migration plan. Jio is giving 50GBs every week. If i except the Jio STB then will I stop getting these free 50GB migration plans?
Will Jio team update my jioFiber account after provide STB?

I don't think you'll get the STB unless you opt for a paid plan, that too 699+GST onwards. Mostly it's not available on the 199 plan. So you'll mostly stop getting the migration plans.
