That's the best case for 2*2 MIMO. Not complaining at all ! These are pretty insane speeds we wouldn't have though possible 2 years before.

@SG_curiosity I don't think so. They are capping it at 10% as a company policy. Also, they did not change the "Wifi" channel (I'm not even using Jio Wifi, it's turned off - using Orbi as an AP). They must have changed different settings at their end.

@alekhkhanna Can u download a game on console (if u have it) or on pc (steam or any other game store application) n see what speed u are getting?. If possible download a big game like 30 or 50 gigs

@Nitin Tried Steam. Delhi server gave around 8 MBps (same for HYD). Mumbai server around 18-24 MBps.

Finally, after multiple escalations, the tech guys came. They were clueless. Just did random Speedtests via multiple servers. Wasn't hitting beyond 550 mbps.
They escalated it to their technical team over phone. In a minute, the following speeds started pouring in !
Apparently they have to set certain channels at their end for high speed tier to allocate required bandwidth.

The mystery is finally solved ! It was a tech issue at Jio's end.
@varkey : Not so unreasonable after all, eh ?

Can you please do a test using just your white JCO 500 and see what is the maximum speed it provides? Thanks in advance.

@Lobogris I checked last month or so. Pretty poor. On 5ghz, hardly 200-250 mbps on 1 gbps connection.
2.4 hardly touched 60-70

Thanks. So the gold plan is the best if one intends to use Jio router as you won't go past 250Mbps anyway.
