Reliance Jio has extended the Preview offer to all 4G Phones

That queue reminded me the time when BSNL was launched in my city in 2005. People used to apply for connection and wait for 6months and there used to such huge queues to get their SIM.
 
No. I've gotten 3 SIMs with a black and white passport scan. Tell them to just take it.


Clicking photos is very convenient for them. They had these cool boxes with LEDs to light everything up evenly and a slot for the phone in the beginning but they seem to have stopped using those.
 
lol jio has launched then ? pretty much a commercial launch, as sim will only work on 4g mode so :D

In the ongoing telco tussle, AvoId claimed that they had given enough POIs to support 20 million customers of Jio, and jio should not ask for more since they have 1.5 million users only. I guess jio is now trying to raise its user base to that level and continue its fight.
 
Speeds may go down for the next few months as everyone will download as much as they can. Speeds will get stable after the Jio preview offer ends.
 
Just went casually to a digital express mini in my locality in Mumbai today around 9 pm. Hardly anybody there but the guy had collected a sizeable bunch of applications since morning and they were out of sim cards. He confirmed all 4G phones are being issued sim cards.

If they advertise this on TV or newspaper though, all hell should break loose for sure.
 
i had just called the reliance store yesterday, the guy was asking me if i needed the sim card lol, Phone got disconnected, i think me gonna get sim too, on monday maybe. Free sim ? free data lol :P
