Reliance Jio to non-Jio network calls are free from January 1, 2021

Stop believing on what ever you read. I hope you know what is paid news.
Now there will be so many subscribers who have balance in their jio account which is useless now.
Trai Data, Jio Public Statements and court dont lie ..
Balance is not useless ...it can still be used for ISD calls, SMS to Premium numbers or recharging (Jio Support Recharge from Balance)

One more link for you from 2019

"Airtel Traffic asymmetry with RJio still stands at Approximately 65%(Incoming) vs 35 percent (Outgoing)"
Even Trai has penalized Airtel/Vodafone due to lack of interconnect (Jio was making more outgoing to Airtel and Vodafone compared to Incoming they were getting..if interested go and see TRAI reports regarding how much minutes flow between operators ) ...
Even RIL Made official statement during results that they are net payer of IUC charges...... If one believes that a public company can make such false statements... I cant say more.

It was a good move to introduce IUC charges(Jio to its subscribers), as TRAI has unnecessary delayed abolishment of it (Under Pressure form Airtel/Vodafone as they were making net money)

Luckily for me I ignored all the prompts telling me to add some balance for non jio calls. Now I don't know where that can be used. If I remember correctly before today it did say it can be used for ISD, rest I can't remember.

You can utilize the leftover balance by recharging through it.

One thing that no one is talking about is - Missed Call Alerts. Jio had stopped MCA for calls originating through non jio numbers when they started charging for calls. A move which i understand was to decrease the outgoing to non jio numbers (though they'd still make money out of it). They need to start non jio MCA now.

@Sachin23 How does one use this leftover balance for a recharge? Because it will only be a part payment rest will be by upi. Also mca used to work for me for both jio & non jio numbers before yesterday, that is.

@socrates You won't be able to use part balance. The option to utilize balance comes only when your account balance is more than the recharge requested. You can activate any plan or data voucher though recharge option within the app. Let me know if you need any help.

I can confirm on all the jio numbers in my family that MCA works only for jio calls and not non jio calls. Not sure how it is working for you.

Thanks, I just recharged for 336 days 1299/- yesterday. So that small balance i have will have to wait. About mca its v strange. Will ask other family members to check too.🤔

Spam messages 🤣...never understood the need for MCA, (makes sense if phone was switched off or out of coverage).. MCA should be there by default for out of coverage cases for other cases it's just waste of network resources

read this article it clearly says Jio was making money, and VIL was net payer of IUC, as i said before

My work profile is such that I don't want to miss out on calls. So whether my phone is switched off or it is out of coverage, MCA is a boon for people like me.

Read the thread before jumping....
Jio is making money today....
They were loosing when they had introduced IUC charges (present vs Past😂)...
I have been speaking about past...
