^That has to be seen!.

There is another catch here. They want customers to use the phone for 3 years and return intact to get the Rs.1500 security deposit back. I assume that the fine print is most likely to say something like "Security deposit will not be refunded unless phone is returned in 100% working condition". I am not really confident of the phone lasting for 3 years and the Rs.1500 would be as good as gone?.
I think its just to entice people from villages to splurge on this phone. 1500rs is a lot in villages. thats why they even lauched small amount recharge cards

Refund thing is a jumla. Terms and Conditions would be interesting. It probably would require constantly active connection or something. Just think of 1500 as the price of the phone.

It's not possible to use even 10 MB on such a small screen. Maybe the cable can connect to a computer.

Where does it say 500MB per day ?

It's unlikely they would offer tethering with unlimited data being made available for 150 bucks.

maybe through cable and jio apps will be unlimited and others will have some daily limit. If there is 500 or 1gb limit per day then whats the point of Tv cable.

I think the price tag of 1500Rs. is good for 4G hardware(LTE-A) and plans are quite affordable, Speeds of JIO is quite good in villages and even in semi urban areas ( around 2-3Mbps during peak hours), people in metros are usually facing this problem, so phone looks good with the cable to connect to TV ( He said CRT also means they will provide RCA cables and HDMI cables), So it will basically convert normal TV to smart TV. Only thing I didn't like is his chamchagiri of modi and that app of PM Modi which comes pre installed and recent data leak of JIO customers which was not addressed once shows how lightly he takes customer privacy.
