I don't like rubberized amzer cases........ I need flip cover, @manu and @chromy I could order zagg or extreme guard but installation fears put me off

true, it can be hard first time. i ruined the first unit. since then i have had pretty decent installs 3-4 times. there are tons of videos online that you can watch. you just have to ensure that your fingers are moist. and you apply enough quantity of liquid to the sticky side. if you take care, you have multiple chance to get it right. in fact, wet install means that you can also slide the skin on the phone's display as glue takes sometime to activate. but yeah, it is a bit complicated and having a botched installation means wasted investment.

that is why xtremeguard is better, even if you mess it up, the loss is much less. It is pretty easy to put up once you see a few videos and do it properly.

do they provide free liquid? or you have to create your own. coz the one i ordered for nexus 7 did not came with the spray. luckily i found an old zagg unit!

nope they don't. for 2-3$, I don't think they can afford to. I just used a drop of shampoo in the water.

Lol it all depends upon the angle of the drop and the floor material. Different units would of course respond differently to similar drops. Also larger display devices are likely to suffer more damage.

Right. I dont remember the angle of fall of my fone, but it was hardly some 2-3 feet above the surface, and the surface was a mat that u generally see in offices. But no damage has been done. On the contrary, in the past Nokia 3230 had fallen off from double that height, heads on, onto a hard flooring in a shop......it then became Ghajini sort of thing - every 15 minutes/30 minutes, the screen wud get all jumbled up, or just plain white or whatever. So even the phone that was more sturdier than this, suffered that sort of a damage!

Can anyone who has used or is using Xtremeguard with their Note II tell me what their experience has been with the SPen on the screen guard? Ive been using GadgetShieldz with all of my devices for some time now. So I got the GadgetShieldz for my Note II when I bought it. But it is a soft material so doesn't work well with the SPen. There are no issues with screen sensitivity. But I have indentations on the screen guard on areas where I have used the SPen and it drives me nuts every time I look at the screen. Need to change the screen guard and thinking if I should try the Xtremeguard or get the SGP screen sheild.
