Would certainly support Apple on providing updates ...even the latest ios update is present on my fathers old iPhone 4

Whats the use of updates if it doesn't provide functionality? It only lets people brag that their phone has latest OS in it.

My friend curses his 4 after it got iOS 7. And another doesn't even want to update.

Same story! Saddest part is she can't revert back to old version.

2 years of updates are more than enough. My Note 2 has updated from 4.1.1 to 4.1.2 in 1.2 years.

Do not update to 4.3 if you want your phone to not loose warranty. The Knox counter has been implemented in this build.I am happy with CM10.2 Android 4.3.1 at the moment.

if one is not thinking of rooting and custom roms , one should install it obviously

Aye. Am on 4.3 too. All is well. Will wait for a fix for Knox

Updated to 4.3 three days ago.. Battery and memory management seem to a little crappy.. I'm getting much less battery life when compared to what it was on 4.1.2.. Maybe I'll try doing a full wipe and reflash the firmware over the weekend.

Yes.. The last leaked firmware and the final release is the same.. Build number, time, date and all other details are the same.. When I checked for OTA updates it kept telling me I have the latest firmware installed.Just flashed the official 4.3 again.. Seeing same kind of battery drain. I guess I'm gonna have to try a full wipe and see if it improves. Everything else seems to work well.
