Used a short cable today. And see the effect:

Charged about 40% in 40 minutes. That's fast.
This is during the charge:

It's amazing what a short cable can do.

dude , i dont know how can a charging cable can improve battery life? yes note 2 has bad cable problem for charging, it gets broken very fast in 4-5 months but that only affects charging time , and not battery life/drain at all . if a phone is charged via a bad cable the issue will be slow charging like it may take upto 10 hours to complete charge , thats it
The issue that a bad cable can also cause is that the battery will not charge at optimum current. Could cause battery to discharge faster .Using the old cable, when I unplugged when battery was fully charged, Battery Widget Reborn used to show 16-17 he's remaining.. Today, after charging with new cable & unplugging at full charge, 23 hrs.. But like I said, that may not be accurate, I can only confirm after testing it for a couple of days.

I installed Dr. Ketan's hybrid V5 Note 2 with Note 3 features ROM. It's still a bit buggy but still very usable.Can't wait for V6.

[*]Stuttering music playback.
[*]Unable to change wallpaper from home screen.
[*]Battery percentage stops showing after turning screen off.
[*]When you receive a call, the screen turns on after few seconds to show who is calling.
[*]Emoji crashes in Messaging app.
[*]SNS app bug.
[/list]So quite a few bugs which I found in 1 day. So I am back to CM10.2 nightly.

No bugs in CM10.2 nightlies. I am using them for 1 month with no crashes and excellent battery life.

I flashed Dr. Ketan's V5 ROM but it had too many bugs for me too. So, I loaded up Kunal Shah's stock MK4 ROM (Knox Free) yesterday & rooted it. It'll do for now.
