I know that.. But with a new OS version I usually do a factory wipe and setup my phone as a new device. It takes me a few days to set everything back the way i like it. Don't want to do that more than once. So waiting for the India release of the update. I'll give it until Friday. If no update until then, I'll most probably flash the French version on Saturday.

It may take more than Friday for India to get it. Samsung is like that..

Didn't take too.long for the 4.3 update to come to us. Infact, I think they started from this side of the world last time.

I'm not too optimistic either on the update coming by Friday. But I don't want to update on a weekday. I need my phone fully setup and functional for work. I will also have more time on the weekend to backup my data and setup the device.

Kitkat update is rolling out OTA now. A friend got notification, the size of the update is 416.58MB.
He sent me a screenshot.

A few people on xda have already updated. No major changes, a few cosmetic ones, thats all. And its too early to comment on battery life.

Seems ok. Some feel their phones have become smoother but that could be the placebo effect of an update. None have reported any issues. So, no bad news is good news!
