Finally succumbed and bought Note 3 Indian N900 version. I like it. The 5.7 inch amoled display is pleasure to watch. Smooth experience in most cases. But UI lags sometimes. When an app is installed or updated in the background, when it is about to complete, UI responsiveness in some FG app freezes for significant time. The same problem was there in CM10.1 in my Galaxy s2-in fact worse

In US the Snapdragon version costs around $150 more than the Exynos version. In case they bring snapdragon version to India, the list price would have been >57000As per benchmarks Exynos version is not bad at all. The significant difference is the 4K video recording capability in Snapdragon 9005.But then I never recorded in 1080p in my S2 due to the size. I always shoot at 720p. Even in my note 3, I use 720p. So, not a big issue for me.

Is it possible to use 4G on note 3 or note 2,[ if Reliance JIO gets 900 MHZ spectrum( and as I heard now any operator can give 2G, 3G or 4G on any spectrum)] via
LTE TDD or some other kind of technology???

So what are you going to do? Put Reliance Jio SIM in your phone?
How are you going to call using your regular number?

They were using the iPhone 5s for the demonstration so I guess they have some mechanism planned. Maybe the phone switches to 3G for calls.

They are going to be using VoIP for calls right? So you would have to port right? So you would be totally dependent upon the availability of Reliance 4G everywhere you go right? I actually have no idea what they have planned honestly.

I have asked this question as I want to buy a new mobile (most probably note 2 or note 3). And if it's possible to use then I intend to have note 3 from UK. That's why I asked, and if not possible then I will settle for indian note 3 or note 2. simple

Reliance Jio is very much likely to offer mobile services. The problem is that it is not very clear right now on how they are going to provide both data and voice on mobile devices. They have been testing VoIP based calling but this means that the phone needs to have data connectivity constantly for the device to work as a phone. So I can only suggest that you wait for a few months if this is an important requirement for you.I am not sure if government policies would enable them to offer their 4G services with 3G/Voice services powered by a possible partner (Reliance Mobile?).Relevant: https://broadband.forum/topic/74622-reliance-jio-infocomm-to-bid-for-2g-spectrum/

thnx.
But I have to get mobile phone within 5-6 days. Then what do u suggest, should I get it from UK ( 9005 ) or get indian 9000 version?? or it is good to purchase note 2??
