international edition is having Snapdragon 800 chipset + adreno 330 gpu and 4k recording(though not usable as of now). Better battery life etc etc. So most probably go for it. But still in confusion, whether I am going to use all the feature of the phone or like most others ,want to show off. lol

Apple does it too ..with iPhone 5S.

Apple does it with tons of their products. iOS device charging port is their proprietary technology so no one can officially make a charger or accessory attachments without paying them royalty.
The point here is that you can understand Apple doing so because this is what their business model is. Samsung replicating the same is sort of low by their standards.
