But you can still charge it using the microUSB 2.0 cable right? A colleague uses a microUSB 2.0 cable + Sony CP-AD2 2amp charger and he says it takes the same time as stock charger.
 
Of course - it maintains backward compatibility - that's the reason micro USB 3.0 is ugly. At present, I am using the Data cable that came with Galaxy S2(almost 3 years old) for charging. For charging it shouldn't be a problem. In my case, both the included cable(completely dead) as well the USB port on the mobile is not working.
 
So then should i avoid the micro usb 3.0 cables for charging my Note 2? I'm confused....
 
more fragmentation :( i really had no idea there was a different microusb3.0 port :o
