screen size does not really matter because they are using an inferior quality display technology right?

i am not sure about the processor of indian edition of s2. but Galaxy nexus has a 1.2 dual core. some versions of s2 are 1.4 i think.

i basically said that galaxy nexus cannot be priced higher than note because of the sheer difference in specifications.

pricing it over s2 would be making this model a premium device. which would be a sham because you are being asked to pay for the nexus brand and not for what the device is.

S2 version in India is 1.2 ghz ...US variant has 1.4 ghz

Economics 101 says you are right ...but Galaxy Note is for different segment all together
But if they price it under S2 ...S2 will suffer a INSTANT DEATH !

Galaxy note pricing has told me one thing. galaxy nexus is going to be in the range of 30-35.

no way in hell can they price galaxy nexus above galaxy note!

this is sort of good news for me. because this model is likely to cost much more in the US market (unlocked GSM) as per current rumors.

so my only confusion is to pick a model between moto razr and galaxy nexus.

both are likely to be priced at similar levels. moto razr probably has better build quality. nexus has better software. touch decision.

Do they even sell galaxy nexus in India?! haven't seen one advertisement of it!

galaxy nexus is not on sale at the moment anywhere in the world i think.

but it is expected to arrive in india in january. usa is getting it later this month. Amazon is already selling it in uk through some retailers i think.

If you are into ROM installation ... tweaking ...android features exploitation ...you should not even think beyond SamsungThe kind of software support this baby will get ....you can not even imagine If its better build quality ...its a different thing all together ...< by the way GSM arena has very positive review about Galaxy Nexus Build>PS:- I am planning to upgrade from my Current Samsung Galaxy SL I9003 to Galaxy Nexus ...the day it gets launched in India ...i just hope its 30k ...and not 35k ...each extra 1,000 means more and more convincing the wifey

well. you can also not ignore the fact that motorola would be owned by google in a matter of months. that alone makes motorola a much preferred choice for me. motorola customer care in india probably sucks. my last experience with them was not very good. but their hardware built quality is pretty much superior to that of samsung. razr has a pretty solid frame. it is sort of water resistant (or spill resistant or whatever). only thing is that ICS update would take a couple of weeks/months. Galaxy nexus has only one thing going for it. it is the first device designed for android ics (virtual buttons). all other devices would probably get a version of ICS without virtual buttons (no use wasting space for virtual buttons when the device already has hardware buttons right?). this alone is said to be the reason behind the delays in the release of ICS for Nexus S.

But, if u r willing to spend in the area of 30k, why not chip in few "k"s extra & buy the Note itself? If i knew of this, AND IF MY NECESSITY WASNT THIS HIGH, i wud have waited. If u fulfil these condtions, u shud rather buy Note.......but yes, it does depend on whether it suits ur needs or not!

Note is a great device. But if you are planning to use the device for watching movies, get a bigger model.

yah that was the site I was talking about, apparently this is the only site that sells it so I cant trust it.... also Its not only for watching movies , its also for calling, as I told you file editing, Browsing & music all the stuff which i use lappy for
