KIES Version 2.0 is much better compared to previous versions. Just installed it. Layout is similar to itunes.Itunes playlist can be imported to KIES and saved on mobile. Samsung Apps store has got lot of apps.

Having some issue with my mobile.Just from yesterday, I get constant prompts with dialog boxes called "helo" with ok button. Keep coming every minute. If I lock it and unlock after sometime, some 10-15 similar dialog boxes wud hv opened.I had installed 2 apps yesterday, uninstalled after i started getting these kind of prompts. But still of no avail what can it be?

are you sure these are not the kind of alerts mobile service providers send to you?

Its because of issue with Airtel's network. Observe that you will only get such messages when your data connection is active. Just disable data conn and you wont get such messages. I informed airtel and they are working on resolving it.Its very annoying. Problems started from yesterday and i feel this has something to do with launching 3G services.

Galaxy S just eats up the battery in 3G. Just one day in 3G and its draining the battery fast

Thats the same case with Nokia 5800 too. 3G n/w with data download will eat lot of battery.

yeah. the idea with 3G is to use it only when you need it. stock android build does not provide an easy way to turn off/on 3g.

There must be some turnaround for this. Battery discharge in a day is not acceptable for me. In 2G, I used to get close to 2 days.We can put the mobile in GSM mode rather than WCDMA mode but everytime u need to access 3G u need to change it and scan all over again.Any suggestions

i think android has options to switch between 2g and 3g with a single click?
