Yep, first you need to download some 90 odd mb, run setup and god know what it downloads there after.

I don't know what's the deal with Kies, not detecting my phone.

For Samsung, there are two modes:1. Mass Storage2. Kies ModeYou need to switch to Kies Mode, then only it will connect.

I had the 'No SIM card' problem a few months ago. Try restarting your phone. It worked for me.

Tried it didn't help, restarted the phone couple of times, issue resolved

Samsung Kies Gets an Update :

Kies might be the only software in the world which gets updates every week, but can not be called updates as it downloads the entire package every time.. Hehehehehe
