Too bad i recently purchased a phone . Would definitely have bought this . Samsung is spending a lot of money trying to lure developers to their Bada OS platform . Unlike Nokia , they actually seem to be interested in developing a new age platform .

if only they can launch the same phone with android so that the users had access to thousands of apps on the android market.

Galaxy S is the similar Android version . Priced at ~ 26k
Today Samsung unveiled their new Android flagship, the Samsung I9000 Galaxy S. Packing a 4" Super AMOLED display and a 1 GHz CPU inside an ultra thin body, the Galaxy S is certainly among the hottest Android smartphones to-date.
Running on a heavily customized version of Android 2.1, Samsung I9000 Galaxy S packs a 5 megapixel autofocus camera, capable of recording 720p video footage at 30fps. The magnificent display will sport WVGA resolution and there will be support for Wi-Fi b/g/n. GPS with A-GPS is also on board, along with 3G (with HSDPA support), USB and Bluetooth 3.0 connectivity

wrong strategy. i am not sure how big the app store for bada is... they are just going to kill their initial reputation. seriously. i do not get these mobile companies. all of them involved in their own platforms and some of them are in fact open sourced!

Bada OS development has just started . Samsung guys are pumping a lot of money to entice developers

Samsung announces bada Developer Challenge - The biggest mobile app contest this year! - Know Your Mobile India

Samsung bada Developer Challenge Contest that promises total prize money worth $2,700,000 (USD) and grand prize of $300,000 (USD) for the champion

I was reading some programmers blog yesterday and he said Bada OS is pretty stable and the SDK is suited for easy app development , its based on C++ IIRC . He also said that java was totally unsuited for mobile app development but because of Sun pouring million's of dollar's , it became popular . Samsung hope to do the same .

hehe. personally i believe it is too late for them to arrive on the scene. let's see what happens to bada platform. developers have a major headache in their hands. ios, android, windows phone 7, webos, symbian, meego, limo, bada and what not!
