An Indian heading an multimillion dollar company might do good to improve the image of India in western world. Earlier India means outsourcing/tech support and now India means land of rape in western media.

Yesterday on CNN I saw a news item that ‘nobody wants that job at Microsoft because Bill Gates is coming back’. So I guess all they are trying to do a ‘Citi’ here ie: find a stop gap guy, read fall guy who can take the rap if things get worse & kick out & replace with their own kind if things are improving. In one word racism in action again. Only time will tell. :pig:

At this point, it doesn’t matter if Mr. Nadella makes the final cut or not, because the mere idea is enough to send “proud” Indians into a giddy rapture they last experienced when Bobby Jindal sneezed and it sounded like ‘namaste’. This is huge because now JEE aspirants will have one more inspirational face to put up above their study tables, right next to innovators like Vinod Khosla and Chetan Bhagat. The fact that Nadella studied engineering in India gives hope to students here, and tells them that if they persevere and really apply themselves, one day they too can get drunk and sing ‘Summer of 69’ at Microsoft office parties.

What has JEE got to do with Nadella? He is not from IIT! Being frank, he went to a very low ranked university in US and still managed to be this position. Thats something we need to appreciate.

Ok. That's the article author's fault. But the point is not really IIT. The point is that he is being talked about in the media as if he is the next role model for students here. That look ,an Indian became the CEO of Microsoft. Well he might become CEO but then it would be because he deserved the post. There is nothing Indian about it and Indians should stop jumping about the fact. Be glad that he is of Indian origin but no need to overdo it.

That's what was trying to say.... Parents don't care whether he wrote iit or not ..theyre just making him out to be an role model saying study like him and you could be an ceo too .
