I am on BSNL and my internet has been on and off for nearly a month now. On some days, the internet works OK while on other days, the internet plays havoc and websites with servers outside India are either very slow or do not load up at all. There was hardly any line noise and this has been happening every few days for the last 1 month. So, it must have been a problem either on BSNL side or the whole broadband network in India. It is also interesting to note that Youtube, Times of India, IBF and other Indian server based websites are loading fine at all times.
Am I the only one who has been facing problems with loading of websites every few days for the last one month or anybody else has also been facing the same? If so, which ISPs are you on?

It was not immediately clear whether the incident was related to disruptions off Egypt reported by cable operator SEACOM last week that it said hit several lines connecting Europe with Africa, the Middle East and Asia.
SEACOM did not give any explanation for the cuts it said hit its cables and other network systems funneling telecoms traffic backwards and forwards in the early hours of Friday.

The official mail in our office was that both the vendors, Airtel and Vodafone were having issues of connectivity due to cable damage.
We could hardly access our USA servers

Speeds through VPN is so bad that I am having to download torrents with VPN disabled. This is troubling.
