Well, I'm almost always on irc, though I might have a busy day today. I guess other members will be good enough for your problem by the end of this day. :)

Also, you might want to have a better look at my userid. :)

Sorry about the spelling (or misspelling rather), mate. I guess I was overworked and sleepy yesterday night while I was posting. Well, my problem now has boiled down to one: when I change the IP address of the WiFi router, I am unable to access it after it updates. I did a 192.168.1.2, ...2.1 and a few other combinations, but the problem remains. Might it have something to do with the DHCP settings of the WiFi router, which has been set with a start address of 192.168.1.100? Or maybe the default gateway setting which says "0.0.0.0 (means same as LAN IP address)."

You almost always need to manually change the config of your network adapter after changing the IP address of the router. Try repairing, that's the easiest way.

Yep, I realised that the adapter's IP address needed to be in the xx.xx.2.xx series as well after changing the address of the WiFi router to 192.168.2.1. Thanks for pointing it out, vedant_lath! :) Now the IP conflict has been resolved, and I can heave half a sigh of relief. I still need the right settings in order to share the internet connection between my laptop and PC though!EDIT: Sushubh, I had isolated the WiFi router in order to change its IP address so as to resolve the conflict. That is why I had to change the adapter's settings. Now that I have resloved it, I am not sure how to proceed in order to make internet connection sharing work...EDIT 2: Oh, you mean the default gateway in the WiFi router?

Or if you don't want the hassle of installing an IRC client, do as I said earlier.Go to mibbit.com, choose freenode.net in 'Connect to IRC' (it's in the general section), put #ibf in the channel name and click go. I can probably get the problem solved within half an hour there.

Hi agent_logic,Step1 : Beetel modem IP-192.168.1.1 ; DHCP IP-192.168.1.2 -- 192.168.1.254.
