modem is utstarcom wa 3002g4 and it is type 4 router for wireless connectivity.

login to your router(192.168.1.1 username and password is admin).. then look for a setting called virtual server

now i have already gone to virtual server,i dint find utorrent there,so i have selected custome server as utorrent .
now its asking for externall server ip address and it has already put 192.168.1.

and my wireless adapters ipv 4 properties state ip address as 192.168.1.10
shall i put this ip address their?
what range of external port start and external port end i have to put?
my utorrent port is 24003

thanks a lot boss.it has worked out.now that port is forwarded.thank you again.

i would like to know few more things, shall enable mac addrress filtering for seccurity?i just want 2 comps to have access to my broadband.if i enter my laptop's mac address in the mac filter.it will be the only device which will have wifi access right?also i have changed my router's admin passwordis it enough or shall i change default login address as well?also the firewall in the router is it good enough to keep just antivirus installed on pc's and windows firewall .what i mean is : is one router's firewall good enough for all devices connecting through the router?

better have windows firewall enabled too!!... mac filtering not required i feel.. its good to change the default ip of the router.. i do that.. it makes it more secure.. and since u want to limit it to 2 pcs.. set the DHCP range like that ..for example DHCP-192.168.1.2-192.168.1.3 .. so the router will give only 2 ips.. not mroe than that!!

Dear all, Hello!I just Buyed this Type IV Modem From BSNL - UTStarCom WA3002G4 :)The modem is really nice, It comes with Wifi, and 4 Ethernet ports.Apart from sharing Broadband via Wifi and Ethernet, We can also use it as lan Switch to share files on Ethernet and WiFi! :thumbsup:The range extends to all of my house (2000 SqFt Dual floor).I am using the modem in PPPoE Always on Mode, which is a breeze. However I noticed the anyone in the range of Modem can connect and use my Files or Broadband!:mad:People please teach me how to secure my WiFi for Broadband and File sharing!

@bhvm Please see this link for guide ,for setting wireless security.
should be same.

WA3002-g1 ADSL MODEM (Type-II) MENU

Thanks for the link,
I configured WEP encryption 64-bit.

Wifi Worked fine on my HP DV9000 lappy,

:( However, my other devices (Namely LG Xnote lappy, N91,N95) could not connect. i made a new advanced connection, Entered the SSID, put in the key, but 'No wireless networks found in range!'

My lappys use Win XP Sp2 :ashamed:
and cellphones run Symbian S60 3rd ed.

my question is i have setup my router in bridge mode.. now when i leave my router on from 9o clock and if i put my pc on standby and if i establish my connection through dialer at 2:05 and then start utorrent ,will it be taken into chargeable...thaks in advance
