But SUN DIRECT is not promoting its service anywhere including KK, AP and KL. In AP and KL might be DTH is a boom. But in Bangalore/Mysore people already started taking Tata/Dish for quite some time back. So there might not be much demand. But i dont think this people are agaist at SUN NETWORK. If that is the case even Udaya/U2/Udaya Movies the kannada channels from SUN NETWORK will not survive. Cable wala might have dimmed these channels. But still they are the leading TV channels SUN/JAYA like our TN.But what would be barrier to promote its DTH service and Customer service. As SUN NETWORK has its own good image it wont be a problem to them to improve it in terms of quality and service. And it is not new to them as they lead SUN TV as successful for quite long time.Do you feel it is because of Kaveri/Hogenekkal issue, the DTH market is not strong in KK???
I am sure SUN DTH will overtake other DTH in karnataka since its providing good channels at cheaper rate. Even in village side people aware of SUN DTH and started installing. In my village (50 KMS away from B'lore)5 DTH conenctions already installed. Cable charge is Rs.100 in village side and it is coming from long distance with lot of distortion. Very bad picture quality in cable and everybody want to get SUN DTH. Villagers want only Kannada and telugu channels and SUN providing most these chanles. Good part is SUN will shine in rural areas since cost is cheaper and which is equalant or less than cable connection.
Really nice to hear you are getting SUN DTH in villages. But i did not expect that i struggle this much to get booked a new connection. I was fed up with listening "WE ARE NOT BOOKING FOR SUN DIRECT HERE" from the SUN dealer itself.

I do not know where they are getting STB and recharge vouchers. Might be getting it from Hosur (TN) whcih is just 20 KMS from my village.
^I think urs is the villages where telegu populations are high(between hosaur and blore),there u r near to tn.but interior k'taka(hubballi-dharwad upwards),ppl are much into hindi and marathi channels(incl belagavis).they wont care for kannada and telegu ,taamil channels :Sthey dont even may be knowing sun dth
I have tried calling the Nodal officer to report about the dealers. But they did not pick the call. Also No reply to email. Still i am waiting to know the dealer who can book connection for me? :wall::wall:
One reason I got in Chennai regarding the poor interest of the dealers to promote SUN Direct is that the commission payed to them by SUN is very much less compared to what TS,DT etc give to them.If you go to any TV shop in Chennai or elsewhere, you will see only TS or DT demos but not SUN as shop guys are not interested to invest and install SUN direct dish for the low commission they get from them.
I got a reply email from sun direct tamil nadu nodal department. Last week i sent a complaint email stating that " i saw your website and got 2 dealers in my area, but when i contacted them they told that they stopped sun direct. And the same thing happened when other dealers mentioned in the site. So the dealers in the site are old. Plz send of new dealer address in my area." they yesterday sent me the dealers name in my area. Also they deleted all the old dealers address in the web site. I think they updating now. I think the nodal dept is replying but taking some time.
