I do not need to mess with them. P&G if serious about their products and branding in India would do the needful. I do not even want my money back. I plan to keep the product as a proof of them selling fake products to Indian consumers.
from what i understand, it does not become legal for you to sell fake products in the market even if you have in small print that they are fake. you are using the official branding of a company which is most likely trademarked.
did the tradus seller gave you a bill with the batch no/serial no of the product printed on it? if you have no bill then it will be of no use. How will you prove that the fake bottle you received is from tradus? They will say that it is not the product we have sent to the customer. Its some competitor trying to ruin our business intentionally.

If P&G is serious, they would order the same product from Tradus and verify if that is a genuine product. They do not have to take my word for it.
A cousin of mine used to work in Diageo. What he used to do was order a peg of 2-3 premium whiskeys at every pub or restaurants he went and check if they were authentic or not. If he found anything wrong with it, he alerted the relevant department in the company to raid the place for duping customers.

LOL. Clever retailer. Hopefully Tradus would refund my money. They have initiated the process at least.

you will not be able to prove that the bottle you received is from tradus if you don't have a bill with the batch no or bar code mentioned is as same on the box and bottle.

Well I did what I could. Informed the manufacturer and asked for a refund. I am not taking anyone to consumer court.

its good that they refunded you :) but if you drag them to consumer court or akosha they will definitely ask you for the relevant documents like bill with serial no/bar code matching what's printed on the box. otherwise they will not take any step.
