Hmm... The free outpost certainly lacks some features but it's good enough. Also remember that not every software of the same category have the same features. But each of them has some unique feature. It depends on the requirement, skill level and preference of a person to choose the right firewall for his own use. Isn't it ?

yup u r right on that ;) .

Hi guys, For the brief period that I had net connectivity at home. ZA posed no problem for me. It took me around 15-20 mins. Of course did download the manual as I do of most of the softwares I've . Once gone through it ZA is simple. The only thing it's supposed to be a bloatware in memory requirements.

i find it consuming decent enough memory around here. :| but then i have 512... and planning to go 1 gb in a month's time. :|

go to http://www.firewallleaktester.com/tests.htm and see none of ur favourite firewall passes some heavy tests :P . No zonealarm, sygate or outpost pass all tests . Best ranking is with look'n'stop firewall which is a very small firewall (takes hardly 4-5 mb ram :) ).

If u want real advanced firewall then go to www.jetico.com its interface is freindly so begginers should not jump to it presently but very good for advanced users ..

This firewall passes all leak test but it isnt shown on leaktest site yet . And its a freeware too :D

Right now testing mcafee personal firewall plus 6 ! :DI try many softwares in the same category before adapting to something...And that testing service says that outpost is one of the best... :lol:ZA is average, sushubh !!!

my pc is not fort knox that i have to be afraid about the worst hackers out there...

Then its fort william...Kolkatahahaha :lol:I had not dishonoured ZA or u, just highlighted the fact ! :D

every software has it's share of vulnerabilities. a successful test by one reviewer does not exactly highlight the complete picture.
