Rather than go around in circles with this issue; suggest that people should email to the GM Broadband directly and hope that he finds the right resource to fix the problem. Give him details of sites, time of day etc. to help him give appropriate data to the network admin(s).

Here is a link for MTNL Mumbai who is who: Mumbai MTNL : At a Glance

At the bottom of the page you will find a link for email addresses of resp. managers.

its annoying but i still wudnt change mtnlas connection condition is stable and u atleast know the workaround. with other isps when it doesnt work it just doesnt work till they solve the problem.but mtnl shud now really solve it, its been like ages that this problem exists.

You think MTNL TriBand will fix it on their own? At least bring it to the notice of the GM BB. If enough of us send him individual messages then perhaps it will get his attention.

If you are talking about the 4.1.1.1 .4.2.2.2 DNS work around then it fails for me.Seemed to have been working well last few days but today rebooted 3 times to ,back to square 1.When will these dumb MOFO's get this shit right.

Yes rebooting several times is the only solution available as of now..............Seriously, its getting bad to worse now.

OK guys and gals

i am using Open DNS in my LAN configuration settings of Windows
4.2.2.2
4.2.2.1
in this order

Using PPPOE
i have disabled DHCP and assigned manual ip to my comp
I have disabled DNS relay so that router dosnt use mtnl's dns

So far all sites opening perfectly
also noticed better browsing speeds
