Same thing happening here fellows. Plus speeds have been widely fluctuating last few days. But once you relogin, its gets better, and then again dips. And I am already using opendns...
well, i never faced this problem in vista...rather than rebooting the router, just see if the problem is solved by just disconnecting and reconnecting (obviously in bridge mode)...i guess it is vista (network) specific issue rather than MTNL...
nope, having problems in xp and it is not only for 849nu users.i was using mtnl dns all the time without any problems after which i switched to open dns a couple of weeks back. worked ok for 2-3 days, but same problem started again. now i switched back to mtnl dns, but same thing.
ok.. this problem occured just now to me..yahoo messenger, yahoo mail was workingbut yahoo address book was not.google was NOT workingthis forum was working but it was calling ad or banner which was probably google ad and hence page was not loading till the request for banner times out.then i did tracert to all 4..and noticed that 2nd hop was different for all. so what i guess is MTNL routes packets thru different g/ws after exchange. hence if some prob occurs at one particular g/w, IPs routed thru it wont work and rest wud.and also it appears that this routing is different for diffrent source IPs/IP range and hence when u disconnect and reconnect (or reboot router), u get new IP and things start working for u
