Oh s**t !! I didn't know that. Are you sure?? What's the logic for doing that by Sky/ TS+?? I already paid and in any case I can't get it out of the TS+ box for my friends anyway so why delete???
Also will it will get deleted even if I were to protect it in TS+?
I dont know reason behind but i have also recorded a movie 10000 BC from showcase channel and after 3 days when i wanted to view that movie it stated that to view this channel contact TS CC..........
Actually it is for commercial reasons. In theory STB should not allow recording on 'MOD/Showcase' channels. I still feel it is a software bug in STB which is allowing recording on Showcase channels.
MOD/Showcase channels are for purchase and viewing for limited time. While PVR is for recording On-air TV channels (although this recordings should only be viewed in particular country/region and not used for commercial/sales purpose).
Showcase can be referred to movie ticket which we purchase at Cinema hall. By that ticket we can only watch movie only once for given time. While PVR can be referred to CD/DVD purchased by customer for his personal viewing.

As early as 1965, Chennai had a multi-theatre complex, blu diamond; in one of the mini-theatres, one can watch the movie (mostly english) for the whole day, any number of times. One can walk in and walk out at any time.

Plus, we are forgetting the issue of copyright. The copyright for the movie rests with the copyright holder. So if we record the movie permanently, we are violating the copyright similar to copy the movie on a comp. This is the reason why you cannot record movie for more than 3 days.

Then we should be happy that they are giving a liberty to us atleast save those movie for 3 days time by which we can watch that movie as per our wish in our free time..........

Yeah I have also seen similiar thing in UK. Here multi-plex provides yearly pass, by which we can watch as many movies throughout year. May be like Tata Sky's Mega pack :D
