Hello, In the last two days, some websited have not been browsable from BSNL connection. Earlier in the week, I upgraded Zone Alarm (never use this product, it is such a resource hog) because it was interfering with KB951748 update from Microsoft (this is on a Windows XP machine). That got internet working again and everything was okay. But since yesterday, I cannot ping to 4.2.2.2 and neither can load google pages. But some web pages work: bbc, ajitjalandhar.com, etc. They ping too. Tried rebooting the computer as well as the router modem. Same behaviour. Is there a problem with BSNL these days? Thanks.

HiI'm too experiencing the same, even google does not open neither in FF/IE :wall:But when I disable my Kaspersky AV all works. But when I enable Kaspersky with no Web traffic monitor still it does not connect. But surprisingly I can download with my u-torrent :hysterical: How it could be possible that I can download and not able to browse. I believe there is something wrong happened to my WinDOG coz I do not ve any problem with LinuxMint. Though the speed I used to get earlier (220-270 KBps) is not now and getting 40-120 KBps.

same problem on my side too, unable to open websites .. though my connection is always on!!

Well, for no apparent reason, everything seems to be working fine now. I did no change in the Windows XP Pro on the computer.

Guess it was a problem with BSNL and it appears to have been resolved now.

Keeping my fingers crossed :)
