fyi they would very much want ppl like me as customer coz the very ppl(everybody esle according to u) that they are targeting are least bothered about legal downloads. its the enthusiast community that is more than willing to pay.
it is extremely sad to see ppl justfying music companies selling crappy quality ( read 128kbps ) music. this attitude of accepting whatever u get is totally against the concept of the consumer being the king. this behaviour is more like u being the beggar... accepting whatever u get ! just because something is written in T&C doesn't make it right. there have been court cases aggainst unfair T&C in the past . if this is the kind of mentality that prevails then its no wonder they are hell bent on milking u for every penny. it is precisely this attitude of accepting anything that corporates get away with daylight robbery with sub standard service and products.
i guess ur the kind of guy who wud even justify htc installing carrier IQ on its phones which spies on ur usage and habits and sends data back to htc !! i guess u wud justify it as saying htc made the phones so they can do watever they want !!!
again ppl here are advocating hungama etc etc. which won't provide high quality downloads. its the equivalent of asking money for a car that has subpar performance and u paying for it!! if ppl r happy with that then they definitely deserve to be shafted ! who m i to complain !! hell i shud join them to rob " everybody else " too.
which doctor ordered u to buy their stuff if the t&c they set is not acceptable to you..????
i am not advocating them..........i am all for best quality ,services,freedom of choice.............u are only imagining things . i am just saying "thats what they are offering u , u either take it ..........or leave it."
if they dont make enough money , they will look upon what can be done to make more money , then they might offer what u may be wanting. u like it or not.
if u dont like it even then, u can support piracy if u want, (only if the doctor has ordered u to use their services ).

bro u r not getting the point we r trying to make. just because they decide its not right to buy only once doesn't make them right. u then have to deal with them in a manner in which they will understand even though its is wrong.
John kennedy once said "Those who make peaceful revolution impossible will make violent revolution inevitable." what is happening now is more on those lines.
And how does your morality prevail over mine? What if I refuse to recognize the concept of copyright itself and say I want everything for free. Even if companies are providing flacs for 5 rupees an album. And then say the companies are being unreasonable and this is my way of "protesting".

the biggest problem with buying music has been this... companies expect us to pay for the music again and again. i mean if i had bought an album on a cassette, i was expected to buy a CD for my CD player. and now i am expected to buy it in digital format to listen on my computer. (at least they were not allowed to make ripping off audio cds illegal).and now that we are in a digital only world... the problem is quality. Apple sold you DRMed music and then expected you to pay more to get DRM free version. apple is now charging a yearly fee to convert your ripped CD music into legal digital media that are connected to your iTunes account. google music at least let you upload your own music files and listen to them anywhere. they however reserve the right to delete your media if they think that it is pirated. most stores would give you lower quality digital edition. and i guess in the future expect you to pay more for FLAC (or other lossless format). i hope flipkart's store offer music in at least 320kbps bit rate and in DRM free format.

i m saying they should provide the choice of high quality downloads and we should be paying only once for it. ur saying that if i m justified in demanding HQ music @ one time pay then ur also justified in asking for free music !! if this ur common sense level then i rest my case !! My point was if you don't like it, don't buy it. Companies will automatically be forced to provide product X(or in this case, quality variant X*) at the lower price Y. They hire people for that, to see if their sales are going down, why is it happening and what should be done. You however provide vague robin hood arguments for downloading copyrighted material quoting Kennedy out of context.
