They use different backbones for idea and vodafone it seems, idea had used tata backbone when i checked about 2 months ago but vodafone uses vodafone UK or something. very weird considering both are the same network now

The executive said that Jio’s backhaul network is ready to take the workloads of 5G and its network will not require any major upgrade for the latest high-speed technology.

Jio has been a fiber first company since the beginning. So, as far as the backhaul is concerned, the metro core network, the aggregate network, and also the long distance network, it is already ready to take the workloads of 5G and we do not foresee any major upgrades, which need to be done to support hundreds and millions of active 5G customers on the network,” Bhatnagar added.

Jio has also enabled the programmatic management of its optical transport and IP networks, which is live today even in its 4G network.

“...from a backhaul perspective, we are all green. Even from the perspective of the core and aggregate networks and the National long distance network capacity, we are all green.

I think 1gbps is not a bad limit, in fact I expect them to keep it less than 1gbps ambr for 5G.

4G ambr needs to get increased atleast, they are hyping their network as 5G ready but 104 ambr doesn't make sense.
