seedbox is a service where you access a remote server(like remote desktop)& load the torrents there which then get uploaded/downloaded with speeds in mbps.after the download is finished on remote server you can download the completed files from there using http/ftp download & since the upload speeds are very high your ratio too increases very fast.this is useful for those who have low upload speeds & want to maintain good ratio on private trackers.

many private trackers dont support seedboxes and can ban you for using it.

ok pvt trackers dont ban but encourage seedboxes due to effortless speeds and up ratios..

hi thesuleman i followed ur instructions to the core. but my problem is wen i d\ld from vuze(formely Azureus) nu torrent file i d\ld speed sucks but if i d\ld from vuze websit ny audio\vdeo etc.. i get speeds upto 150kb\s n above.am i doin it wrong ? cud u advice plzz..thnx 4 d breifin it hlpd me setup my vuze fine...but wat next?????:thumbsup:

still to come across a private torrent which bans seedboxes.. rather they support and encourage seedboxes.

regarding speed issues with vuze here is one post i found in vuze forum

If your request is regarding speed, first be sure that you have:

* read The Good Settings Guide (Good settings - AzureusWiki)
* set a non-standard port (Port is blacklisted - AzureusWiki)
* not used bad torrents (Good torrent - AzureusWiki)
* not Force Started any torrents. (Force Start - AzureusWiki)
