Hello,
I don't know if it happens at very specific intervals but, I get the following error when SSH -ing a server with JioFiber.
ssh connection "client_loop: send disconnect: Broken pipe" (and SSH closes)
I don't think it's a server issue because I never experienced such errors with Airtel nor I-ON before that.
I use Windows Powershell to SSH and haven't tested with Putty yet.
Have similar issues with WinSCP but since it retries for a new connection for the same session, that does not bother me much.

Is it a known issue or can anyone put some light on it or help?

EDIT: Putty is useless too.

I have also faced the similar issue with Jio Fiber connection in Banglore. The issue is "SSH connections are terminated abruptly and very frequently". Raised multiple complaints, escalated to higher authority Jio people but there is no Fix, they can't fix it or they dont want to fix it. Whatever!

Please stay away from Jio Fiber if you have to SSH to your company network servers over VPN. Jio team will say talk to your company VPN team and they dont know anything about the issue.

They dont want to fix the problem. They dont even understand what is SSH. The dont know the difference between corporate VPN and public VPNs.

There's a ssh configuration option like session keep alive or something IIRC but not sure if it's on server or client side or both...

And finally, if you are unable to resolve the issue with Jio fiber then look up the "screen" utility command, it's quite useful.

I have all these settings applied and ssh connections works fine over other internet providers like Airtel/Spectra/Tata and other local broadband providers. Only Jio Fiber creates the problem. So this is about Jio Fiber problems not about the SSH, its keepalive settings and other terminals.

In Short Jio Fiber is a pathetic service and their technical team is not helpful. Most of them do not understand what is "SSH"

Explicit FTP over port 21 also does not work with Jio Fiber; this issue was escalated all the way with regional head. The funny thing is there is no such issue with enterprise internet. (Not talking about the business plans)
