Most of my calls get filtered or blocked using spam protection in call settings on my S21 Ultra. Few get through. But not more as when the setting is turned off.

My credit card was renewed few days ago. I was constantly getting emails about re-enabling txns, update address if required.

But there is no info about any courier tracking or if the card has been dispatched.

They could have atleast provided some info about how many days it will take to dispatch new card after it has been renewed.

Whenever the card is dispatched, you get an SMS next day from HDFC.

I ordered my card replacement and it was dispatched yesterday, hence got the message today.

It was an auto-renewal as card will expire in few months. In email its mentioned they have renewed the card but no info about what to do next or when it will be dispatched.

In my case the bank & bluedart sent sms.

Yeah for my cheque book I got bluedart out for delivery sms but I knew the dispatch timeline it will take 2-3 days.

It's been more than 3-4 days now since card was renewed and no update or tracking method available.

It's a private bank with sarkari like management.

From about a month I have been getting these text and emails(4-5 reminder total).

ATTENTION!! Your card will be renewed on X date and all txn will be disabled as per RBI rule. On next day X you can re-enable them.

then on X date hdfc sent me this card renewal email.

Sub: Your HDFC Bank Credit Card has been renewed

Dear Cardmember,

Further to our communication yesterday, we wish to inform you that your HDFC Bank Credit Card 12XX has been renewed with New expiry date.

From what I could I understand, the card has already been renewed.

So upon inquiring about my new card dispatch status so I can enable all txn on my card. Hdfc cc replied - Card will be renewed automatically and I will get the new card by month end.

Then I sent them screenshots of the Renewal confirmation email (above second quote). My query was simple where is the new card right now if it has been renewed as per the email or it is yet to be renewed.

Then I got this reply.

We infer from your email that you are perplexed with the receipt of email and SMS confirming that the credit card has alreadty been renewed, and sought resolution of your concerns. Being completely sensitized to your concerns we have reviewed the same and we wish to inform that prior to expiry of your card, automatically renewal card shall be generated by the Bank in order to facilitate continual usage and transactions on your card account. Hence, renewed cards shall be despatched to your registered mailing address as per our records by end of the month November 2021.

lol wtf after getting this reply I am really perplexed customer support is politely calling me dumb

After reading it multiple times I think there is difference between renewed and generated

Update: just got an email my card has been dispatched.
