STB Operating System

Hello guys is there any way to change the design of the zenega 1004s.i mean the operating system.Now the the zenega stb and beetel stb has different designs in display.I mean the channel name and colors of that are different.Like that is there anyway to change the design of the Operating system?I mean the channel changing display like that.Now this zenega stb has blue color.

This can be done, but only by service provider (DISH TV) and that to if they are having/providing various graphics & fonts with the STB's. And looking at current scenario I don't think that DISH TV may be willing to provide customised Graphics/Fonts for GUI in STB

You can try doing the OTA(Over The Air) Software upgrade. I think its possible if the STB you are talking about is provided by Dish TV. You can access the same in Settings->STB Info->setup. If it doesn't work then Beetle STB software upgrade is not supported.

Well Pradeep,
I don't think you can change the design /operating system of Zenega 1004s by yourself, I think its totally depends upon the service provider and only they can do that.

You can try doing the OTA(Over The Air) Software upgrade. I think its possible if the STB you are talking about is provided by Dish TV. You can access the same in Settings->STB Info->setup. If it doesn't work then Beetle STB software upgrade is not supported.
I think you can nnot make any changes or cannot upgrade software of stb provided by dishtv yourself, it can be done only at service provider's end.

The main operating system is provided by the operator. But after that you can do the upgrades remotely. Thats why OTA S/w upgrade is there. If you had Zenega 1004is and installed for the first time, after the Dish TV installation the system autmatically upgrades to the latest firware and reboots. You can also do it yourself as I had explained in the previous post.
