Story of my attempt to pay Dish TV subscription charge

I had the same worst experience,as the post creator. Ever since the Sun & Jaya TV were removed from DD+, I have been trying to subscribe for the Sun package, for which I need to make additional Rs.50/- for the remaining two months in my subscription period. I always use my Credit Card for all vendor payments. and I went to dishtvindia.com, registered, got an account, and have been trying unsuccessfully for the last 4 days. Everytime, I reach the enter amount area, and choose credit card as payment, the next page it crashes displaying 'page cannot be displayed'. That's done for the day, as for the next 24 hours it starts showing that there is a transaction pending for the VC #. The same is happening for the last 3 days. and the customer care and renewal contact nos... keep directing it to each other.... and the customer care guys don't even have the power to enable the payment, and instead ask me to wait for 24 hours.... or the easy way they start marketing for the ITZ card. Why do I have to buy a card because DishTV s Credit Card gateway isn't functioning. And moreover, they don't agree that there is an issue, and keep asking me to try every time after 24 hours. There should really be some improvement in the customer care of DishTV. This is the first time I called CC, and so far have heard only horrible stories from other subscribers, and now have experienced it. If the CC doesn't have any power to even enable payment, then what's the use of having them in first place, is it to market ITZ Card alone. I have shot up a complaint mail on this regard to DishTV, and hope it gets responded proper and convincingly. I hope they don't make me repent for preferring Dish TV over Tata Sky. I have already started feeling the same. Does anyone else feel the same ? or is it only happening to me ?
 
Well archie, might be you are unlucky, Because In the mid of Oct i have renewwe my subscription through their website and it was succesfully done , without having any problem. Further you have told here that renewing for sun package ....i have upgraded my Maxi to further add sun channels and with in 15-min it will be update sucessfully. So, this might be the problem for you this time ...or i just say you have a bad luck this time.
 
I pay my charges monthly. I try to pay using credit card before trying easybill. For last 4 months, the credit card payment option is always failing. Most of the time I get database connection error. This is a web server error. CC does not care about my complaint. Do you think this is happening due to bad luck?
 
I agree their might be some fault in their payment system, but till now i have never faced it...as i always do payments through credit cards. For me till now its working fine.
 
I have been paying online thro' Credit Cards for the past four months, I haven't seen any problems accessing the Dish TV page or Payment Gateway.
 
So, with that I believe that there is some setting which needs to be done in our login profiles, which will allow the Credit Card payment to go through. Neo, as you said that you pay through Credit Card, how long will it take for that to be enabled. Because, I hear that there is more than 1 day delay, for the credit to be realized, so if you call immediately to the CC, they would say to wait for a day, so they could see the transaction in their system. I hope, I pay through CC, and then call Customer Care immdtly and inform them about the same to activate it, and it will be done automatically in 15 minutes.... Is that how you did Neo ??? I received a reply from CC that they are looking into the issue regarding my problem. Hope they resolve it.

I received a reply from CC that they are looking into the issue regarding my problem. Hope they resolve it.
Payyment with CC is wrost for Dish TV users as they don't have link with landing page. Also not very secure too.

Use ITZ card only.
