Strange Problem with the MTNL router and Connection

Hey guys,Here after a long time. I have a strange problem and I can't figure out whether its my modem, line or cables.The internet works fine when only one system is on, but if I plug in the 2nd lan wire into the modem the line disconnects and does not reconnect.If I now remove the lan wire it connects again,I don't think its the wire since I changed the cables and checked but I'm open to any solutions.Modem is MTNL issue UTstarcom 304R2.Could it be the power adaptor?

Test 1;
Try single System by connecting rj45 to different ports lan1 , Lan2, Lan3, Lan4.
Test 2 :
If OK, try the second system only likewise.
Probably one of the port is shorting when two cables are used.
Test 3:
connect to a wifi router and try Lan1 etc.
Power adapter is not suspect.
Check the modem log , when it fails.

Hey essbebe,Thanks for the quick reply.Ok Did the tests!If only one cable is attached it works on any of the four ports.Likewise if i attach that one cable to the wireless router that I have and use the wireless as a hub so no problems thereAs soon as I put the second lan cable into any of the ports the system disconnects and only the power light stays on. Even the status and xdsl lights go off.Ideas??
