Suggest a Multifunction Printer for Home

I want to buy a printer for home. My usage is mostly photocopying and little printing. I currently use a HP printer that has seen better days.My needs are:
-Printer, Scanner, Copier
-Only A4 printing, colour and B/W both. No photo printing.
Optional(depends on the price):-Wireless printing from phone and laptop.-Touchscreen

I'm open to buying HP and Canon. After sales must be good(I'm happy with the HP one).

stick to he HP ones which use the ink advantage acrtridges. ihave been using it for 2 yrs now. its quite cheap for ink.

I am using Canon imageclass MF3010 laser printer over a year now. It's pretty good for printing, copying and scanning.

The one I have is from this series only. It's basically a series of printers with cheap cartridges so that printing cost is low.

No. just lower margins, print companies have insane profits on cartridges. The ink costs next to nothing.

Right. Cheaper printers tend to have expensive ink. And all companies tend to have a specific range where the printers themselves are slightly expensive but their cartridges are relatively cheaper. Most consumers do not think of the consumables and that is why cheap printers have so much demand.

HP has a series of printers that use the ink advantage series of cartridges. these cartridges are high capacity and cost 450. u can usually print 300 pages. if u refil them its abt 200 odd. the rest of the printers use the crappy low capacity cartridges.
the print quality is normal. Just high capacity cartridges that fit in certain printers only.

I definitely would go with the cheaper cartridges, especially if you can print 300 pages. My Canon needs 5 cartridges and they are kinda tiny and pain to keep changing. I think I get only 30 pages with each set. But they are kinda cheap at about 7$ for a pack of 5 so, not such a big deal.

i have f300 HP and when cartrige is empty i refill that myself with rs 80(ink)+10(syringe) =90 rs (atleast 10 times ink in bottle) , cartrige lasts quire ok, only once it died soon , didnt count number of pages per refill though

i did that with my canon printer did not go so well, printer it self was not good though and died out soon and Canon service was crap!
