suggetion regarding hard disk

hello friends,i m going to buy an internal 500gb hard disk. my system is d old 1 p4 2.4....in my pc thr is nt ny sata port, but i want 2 buy sata hard disk, bcs i m going to upgrade my pc after some months.but when m gone to shopkeeper they told me that sata is nt gd working in pata port by sata-pata converter.so, friends plz suggest me wat can i do 4 dis... if ny 1 use dis sata to pata converter den plz help me out.n also suggest me the brand which is quite gd.

Hello friend, You can definitely use the SATA to PATA converter. It's the only available option for you. As you stated that your processor is P4 2.4GHz, so it can support HDD you are intended to buy. But you haven't told your RAM size and your motherboard specifications!!!!!! So, give the above mentioned particulars also. By the way you can opt for a 240 GB or 360 GB HDD instead!!!! Anyways, give me the two particulars first.
