Did you know that dvd sound is usually 5.1 channels??I'd suggest sun to first be the first to bring in true dvd quality video and sound and then think about HD service.
Though SunDirect claims DVD quality Video and CD quality Audio, the video quality is more than that of a DVD. I have made several hundreds of TV rips from SunDirect and they all are of exceptional quality. Far superior than that of a DVD quality.Just google my name and you will see them :thumb:
The rips you have made are from the sun bouquet of channels, of course they allocate the most bandwidth to their own channels. I'm talking about the pay channels, which we have to pay extra for...

I think your stomach is filled with fire. That's why these types of meaningless comments. They claim their audio quality is CD quality and not 5.1
BTW, I'm just an ordinary consumer who is feeling cheated by sun direct.

Be satisfied with the present. I switched from DishTV to SunDirect only on seeing its quality.
Why should I be satisfied??? I want to watch star world and zee cafe in dvd quality just like what sun direct states in the their memos like in the first post of this thread, but instead I'm getting average quality picture for these channels. It's not worth the money I'm spending. Now you say I should be satisfied with what I get?? Sun direct is not doing me any social service for your information. I have just 2 more months left of my subscription and I'm going to stick to free torrents which give much better quality than sun direct...
