Sun direct most costly DTH, Over Rs.600 per month

@ Dhoni, It is not the case I have already said this only sun direct base pack is economical and good but don't have required number of channels one would like to watch. you are just consedering one side of the coin whereas i have put that in general if any body wants to have access to all channels then they have to pay hefty amount in Sun direct. and even if you take base pack and suppose you are sports lover and want all sports channels then how much would it cost to you Rs.75 (Tamil basic)+ tax and Rs.189 + tax (All sports channels) then say where as you got the same set of channels at very less cost in other dth. Like in dishtv SOUTH SILVER pack have all tamil and sports channels at Just Rs.125 (Excluding Neo sports) then say whether Sun direct is costly or not. and same is the case with other ala-carte of Sun direct.

Saurabh your point of arguement is not holds true...

How many ppl see all sports channel at a time..? people seeing only tamil channels market share are huge in tamil nadu, do you think sun dth has got ard 3 million of customers in short span of time without being cheap...? Of course india is more cricket loving country particularly indian matches... at that point of time they add that channel ala carte like me for 20 or 30 Rs... that will total to 95 to 110 still cheaper than 125 silver pack..

Ofcourse Sun DTH may not b so good for hindi viewers but south its a hit...

Again you are just considering one side of the coin, Okay i take on your point of view Let you have taken Tamil base pack in Sun direct which cost Rs.75+ tax and seeing T-20 world cup you have taken ESPN which cost Rs.38+ TAX

So total is Rs. 75+ 38 = 113+ Tax= 125

Which is equivaqlent to Dishtv South Silver pack where you have an advantage of 4 other sports channels as compared with Sun direct. And Suppose if some loves to watch any other game along with cricket like Tennis or formula one or football then what??????

^^ So you think Dish is doing charity or subsidising for SD channel now? They are well earning their margin, and giving rest of benefit to the customers, unlike Sun DTH.

Yes HD are supposed to be expensive, but not at the expence of 100 per channel and 10k STB. I have good vibes that dish tv will bring hd at better pricing without compromising in quality.

Yes of course. I had mentioned previously that Dish TV has economical packages, so it has sibsidised on the SD chs, but at the cost of the picture quality. Just look at the aud/vid quality on certain chs. Its horrible and it sucks. Look at its CC. Its pathetic. So maybe, even if Dish TV provides HD chs at a lesser affordable amount, then I can well imagine its standard of quality from now itself. :hysterical: But let HD service, launch atleast...! Hahaha...!
