System hangs when lan link goes off

My system Hangs when i switch off the modem/lan link goes off.any idea why..? i got the lan card driver i guess :P 'cause i'm not able to confirm. is it installed or not.can any one help me to find it.i'm using windows vista ultimate.Mobo:GA-K8N51GMF-9Note:i downloaded driver nforce driver from nvidia and installed.

is it a complete hang or does the system respond again after 5-10 min?it could be a network service like dyndns/no-ip or some such which is hanging the PC temporarily when there is no network, i experience it all the time

system completely freezes. i have to reboot my pc :wall: i checked under device manager there i have Nvidia nForce Networking controller.
 
Your real problem is with the OS that you're using. Upgrade to Linux! :)
 
i find vista "not too bad" actually. it reminds me of what i thot of XP back in 2002, it was buggy, bloated and heavy with the standard 256/512mb RAM those days :)but it came with the laptop i bought and i just reverted to the classic theme and i got to like it... vista is the same story all over again...i feel SP1's speed/stability fixes will encourage vista adoption some more...
