First of all i thank all of you who have spent your valuable time in helping others solve their problems.i recently formatted my system and installed xp sp2. Before formatting my system i used to connect to the net by using the lan cable provided along with the modem.now when i plug the lan cable to the computer it dosent do anything. usually when i used to plug in the cable there used to be an icon in the system tray with showed two computers connecting together,now it is absent.even when i go to the network options there is no local area connectioni tried using the usb given by the modem. My system detects the modem but when i use the modem cd to install the drivers it says that there is an error and that it cannot install the drivers.please help me solve my problemwhy is my system not detecting the lan card.Is there anything i can do to solve it.BTW i have a bsnl connection with smartAX MT841
