Step 1.
1. Open the Router page (192.168.1.1)

Step 2.
Go to the Wan page and select Bridged Mode and under the category Bridged Mode, choose "1483 Bridged IP LLC" and click on Apply.

Step 3.
Go to the Tools tab and click Misc and click on Save and Reboot.

Step 4.
Click on the DHCP tab and select No DHCP. Click Apply and repeat the same procedure as in Step 3.

After having followed all these above steps. We need to create a new connection which supports Bridge mode.

Here's how you do it

1. Go to Control Panel--> Network Connections---> Create a New connection

8. Thus your bridge mode has setup and ready surf in it. Set up a shortcut connection and desktop and hit connect.

Here's some settings you need to make when you disable the DHCP

1. Go to Control Panel--> Network Settings

Note: You should have an up-to-date antivirus software and a good firewall to block out threats as it does open up all your ports.

Hey Krish, thanks for your "tutorial" man, but i am still having the old 24kbps downloading speed :confused:Help me out, someone.

hi..thanks for all this effort. i've got a problem, though i followed all these steps i get no connection after i change to bridged mode. when i try to connect it through the new network connection it says something like unable to connect and redialling or somethin like that. can u tell me what can b d problem is there something i'm doing wrong?P.S. the username is my telephone no. and password is C.A. no. right ?

^The username can either be your telephone number or your telephone number with an @a suffix. For eg. 27654321@a

Try both of them and see if that IS the problem.

I gave up trying to convert to Bridge mode as it was too much effort. IMO, The main purpose of Bridge mode is to automate the connection and dis-connection of net. This is particularly helpful for Night Unlimited users as they have to disconnect before the night time limit ends.Personally i prefer Telnet, it's the most easiest way to disconnect. just use it with a Macro software (like Macro Express) and u dont have to worry bout going thru all the technical mode conversion process.
