their entire marketing strategy has been based on being the first private player to launch the 3g network. people are cursing airtel and vodafone (specifically). cannot say anything about airtel but vodafone might be doing something right this time around. vodafone has said that they delayed the launch to ensure wider availability etc etc. if they are smart, they would ensure that the service is available in all the circles they have rights in. network is available in all the major areas. would be great if they can offer total coverage on launch day. would be excellent if they have deals in place to ensure 3g works in roaming in circles they do not have rights in.

dont worry, as tata came out with such tariffs which may or may not be called low!! this will put pressure on other companies to lower their prices even more!! certainly tata users at loss due to this theory. other users of maybe vodafone(like me) may benefit, if they lower the prices. :)

airtel's pricing would set the bar for other players. docomo is not present in some of the biggest markets in india.

cant say..See their landline BB..tariff are at par with competitors,if not low

Well after seeing docomo 3g tariff ,I wonder how many devices I have to take for uninterrupted connectivity with internet. Landline for my home and office, data card for laptop and 3g for mobile devices. uff. :(

According to me airtel will have different plans for different circles coz airtel has license in A,B & C selective circles so the price in A & B circle of 3G will be higher than in c circle coz they paid more for those premium circles . not like docomo with uniform plans in all their circles.

Rs.1250 for 10GB - Sounds good to meI pay 35$(Rs.1557) for 2GB on ATT in the US of A.Compared to the prices of mobile services in India, This is expensive. But compared to the prices of mobile services in the world this is not that expensive. and 5GB is more then you would ever need. I say this from the experience of using 3G at 7.2MBps for 3 months.I average about 200mb per month.

you do realize that you would need hardware that is capable of supporting 21mbps?

most smartphones and data cards are unlikely to support it.

Mine supports upto 7.2 Mbps but never seen speed more than 3 Mbps

Docomo reducing their gprs speed (IN 2G). They think that people get frustrated by this and they will upgrade to docomo 3G. I am using 95 paln in which they give somthing 2 lac Seconds and 1 GB monthly for 1 Year, but speed is so slow i can’t event check email in mobile.BUT BSNL Rockkkss!!!!! ;)

Iam a happy docomo user for the past 1 year.Their 2g plan and service is best as far as my perception.Iam also a bit disappointed with their 3g plans.More then their tarriff plan iam far more disappointed with their lack of clarification and availaibility which is uncharacteristic for docomo.I live in chhattisgarh and none of the city in chhattisgarh is covered.Only bhopal is covered which actually is a different state but same circle.Iam also confused with their voice plans in 3g.Do the original 2g voice tarriff will continue or we have to be compulsarily subscribed to a 3g plan for using 3g in voice.Dont consider this 3g plan to be the final pricing which is going to stay for long because they are just taking advantage of launching their service first as every company takes it.Even in dth department we have seen that sun dth offered their hd stb for 10000 with high tarriff because they were the alone player that time but now as soon as other companies arrived now we can get it for 2500 and same was with bsnl when they were the lone provider of 3g they were charging 2500 for unlimited and as soon as they heard of private players entering the market the price was down drastically to 700.So all docomo lovers please be patient and have your loyalty intact.Let docomo recover their spectrum fees with high tarriff initially. But iam sure later on they definitely will be the cheapest.
