But a question to be asked here is, Has Docomo sold so many cards in Karnataka that the 9035 & 9036 series are over? Weird.

BOSS, doesnt mean that every operator will open new number series till the last number in a particular series is exhausted, there is something called as capacity creation, meaning for example 3 lakh sim cards are circulated in market out of which only around 1 lakh sim is sold, these 3 lakh sim cards are to be retailed in every nook & corner of the service area starting fom Pan shop, medical shop, handset retailers, stationary shops, railway stns, airports, bus stns, travel agencies, Hotels, departmental shops, novelty shops, electronic shops, etc etc(i.e close to 1 lakh retailing outlets)..

every number series capacity is 1 lakh, meaning msc code
9035 0 xxxxx (last 5 digit xxxxx is subscriber numbers from 00000~99999)i.e 1 lakh number series
9035 1 xxxxx, 9035 2 xxxxx & so on up to 9035 9 xxxxx that means 9035 series has 10 lakh (one million) mobile number capacity, similarly 9036 series has another 10 lakh number capacity, 8050 series has another 10 lakh capacity, so totally as of now 30 lakh connections can be immediately provided by tata docomo in karnataka, market projections say that they can achieve 10 lakhs with in the next fiscal, so to say to market 10 lakh connections they need to circulate atleast 30 lakh connections in market, i.e a ratio of 1:3 (active subscriber : market capacity ratio), meaning as soon as they are close to touching 10 lakh active connections they will request DOT for allotment of more MSC codes. Currently TATA docomo in Karnataka has three msc codes 9035, 9036, 8050..
