TATA Indicom photon plus - very poor customer service - sucks money

Hi My Photon has validity till 7th of Feb, and bal of 2.8 GB. I've recharged for Rs.250/- on 7th of Feb, 12.30 AM (mid night of 6th Feb) ie 23 HRS WELL BEFORE VALIDITY using my creditcard throuh, ichoose.in

I'd got payment success email confirmation for IChoose and debit confirmation from the bank. So i assumed everything went well.

On 8th Feb, morning i started using internet as usual, it was not working. Checked with customer care they said "there is no balance in my accont"....

I'd contacted their team CUSTOMER CARE (are they really caring the customers???????) and lodged the complaint, "they simply closed the complaint stating they didnt receive my recharge"" (whatz wrong with them)

Then i got a email from Ichoose on 8th stating refund of my money Rs.250/- If they are refunding they would have done it on 7th itself. Why did they hold my money for 36 hours?? and why did they send me a Payment Success Confirmation Email?????

Again, i'd lodged a complaint, this time also they simply closed the complaint stating "I'd recharged after validity"...thatz the reason it didnt happen... Sir Excuse me, i've a question. I recharged online using my internet connection only. If i'd already crossed my validity how would the internet work???? (VERY IRRESPONSIBLE REPLY ISNT??)

THE MOST FUNNIEST THING IS ONE GUY FROM COMPLAINTS DEPT CALLED AND TOLD ME THAT "VALIDITY EXPIRES ON 7TH MEANS, ITS NOT ACTUALLY 7TH.. ITS ACTUALLY 6TH.. SO YOU'VE TO RECHARGE ON 6TH ITSELF"....SIR HAVE A QUESTION...? HOW DID INTERNET CONNECTION WORKED FOR ME ON 7TH, IF THE VALITY EXPIRES ON 6TH ITSELF??? ALSO WHY ARE YOU GUYS SENDING SMS WITH VALIDITY AS 7TH.. INSTEAD YOU COULD HAVE SENT IT AS 6TH ISNT??? (VERY NICE RESPONSE)

so, finally they wiped off my balance of 2.8 GB stating all irrelevant and irresponsible answers. I'd recorded all the conversations with customer care and emails regarding payment success, etc.

AGAIN I'D LODGED A COMPLAINT TODAY NTT0719207074. THEY ASKED Me to wait till 19th of FEB.. I lost faith in customer care dept all all... The best thing is i'd mailed to NODAL officer too (on 10th of FEB), they'd also not yet answered....


VEry nice customer service... I'am going to forward a complaint to TRAI with all the evidences, and to show that this is how tata indicom Sucks money from customers...

For me it was just 2.8 GB balance... i dont know how much from how many customers??? Guys please dont buy tata photon plus, anymore...

Hi Customer care team, Are you still answering my high priority complaint??? The deadline given to me was 19th Feb, 2011 1.00 pm... Though you are working 24 * 7 my query is still pending, not yet received any response. No emails, phone confirmation.. I still wonder if you still keep my complaint open or simply closed it. None of you have the courtesy to handle my query..... I'm lodging a complaint with TRAI today... Thx. Keep up your good work
 
A suggestion:
List out all your complaint numbers with the dates of resolution given.
Call the Nodal officer, calmly explain the whole story to him/her.
If she still doesnt agree, play the conversations you have recorded over the phone.
And, when you call up, first the phone will be received by a secretary type of person, so make sure you are talking to the nodal officer(ask clearly "Are you the Nodal officer?" ) before explaining everything
It took me ~30 mins, but I did manage to receive a refund of approx Rs 800 when my photon was giving pathetic speeds for about 3 months

Just noticed: you didnt get any mail from TATA confirming your recharge?
If so, it means your recharge never went from ichoose's accounts to TATA accounts.
unless you get a mail from tata photon systems that the recharge is successful, you cannot be sure. Its unlikely you will receive any help from the nodal officer then, but still try
