After adding UTV Movies & World Movies, Tata Sky can now add only 3 more new channels and only 2 more interactive services. It'll be interesting to see what will Tata Sky do once it is done with all the transponders and the amount of space. Tata Sky will have to do something very soon to stay in the competition with that of BIG TV. Check the space left for the Tata Sky on the satellite ...

May be Tata Sky may replace repeated channel with new channel.

The channels are not being repeated. That is actually the audio feed available in different languages. Since bandwidth required for audio is considerably less than that for video, removing them would not make too much of a difference. Plus, some people will protest if you remove Hindi audio feeds from Discovery and History channel.

No, for multilingual no need for seperate audio feed. The main difference between Analog and Digital signal is, Digital will support multilingual. That is all the languages are packed in a single singnal. Analog will not support Multi Language thats why we are not getting the language selection option in cable TV.

And also if you check the number of channels in INSAT 3B,4A (83.0E) Last Chart Update: 2008-03-05, 23:49

Toon Disney has repeated 3 times, but Toon Disney has 4 languages (Tamil, Telugu, English and Hindi). Pogo reapeted 3 Times but Pogo has only 2 languages (English and Hindi).

Another examaple is DVD
IN DVD we are able set 8 Languages and 32 diff languages subtitles.

Don't worry guys

There is no any thumb rule for the channel count,
Tatasky can remove lot of its own stuff such as games, additional language options and Radio channels to add more channels,

If that are not possible then Tatasky might go the Dish TV route and increase the compression so that it can add more channels in the cost picture quality.

increasing compression and decreasing quality wud be cheating. because customer see quality first when buying any product. and Tata Sky claims quality itself.but i feel they will try to pass on the blame to channel broadcaster.i just hope they dont do such thing.
