Vent holes on top is a bad design. Dust collected on top face will get into the box while wiping; magazines or anything kept on top will block ventilation and lead to overheating.

I happened to see this new stb at my uncle's place, very compact indeed, my old mpeg2 stb manufactured by Thompson was at least 2 times bigger... These new stb are manufactured by Technicolor as per the branding on the box itself. The user interface on these new box is more modern but slower than the old box

I got my box replaced yesterday in dindigul dist of tamilnadu.But they just replaced my STB only, i mean they didn't change my remote or adapter. just the Set Top Box thay've replaced. Is this what happend to others too???

You want them to change the adapter and remote for free. Very high hope layful: :nono:
Coming to the point:
They just replaced my STB for free. No other components were replaced.
