Tata Sky HD gets Star Plus HD, Star World HD, Star Movies HD & Star Gold HD

ALL star HD channels are ads free ...but to sync with the Non HD channels - at times they play show promos ( but this too is at the end of the show - not during the show) - thus its as good as no adsIn Star Movies HD - they were playing making of Facebook at the end of the movie to cover the time gap before the next movie slotIn Star World HD - They play promos of desperate housewives, family guy etc at the end of the show to cover up the time gapIn Star TV HD - they played Star Plus anthem song at the end of the show In Star Gold HD - the content itself is different than Star Gold normal - so did not track

SCREW Movies Now! It's been a hell of a long time that we've all pleaded for the HD Eng movie channel.

Star Movies HD would undoubtedly be far far better. It's only a matter of time before Star Movies HD will take over Movies Now - now the times people would be working their asses off to get Movies Now across all DTH platforms


Star Movies HD is certainly better than Movies Now HD. However, the Times Group contrary to their slogan 'Let Truth Prevail', they will 'Let Lie Prevail' by consistently showing Movies Now HD by way of misleading stats. They never indulge in Apple-to-apple comparison. Once they even compared their Glamour Lifestyle channel Zoom TV with TLC (Previously called Discovery Travel and Living) to showcase their viewership.

Anyways, I guess Set MAX HD is for a limited time only - just until the end of IPL

That's evident since they are only showing IPL coverage. However, you never know. SET MAX HD may transform itself into a full fledged HD channel after conclusion of IPL. Reason being Set Max HD will try to compete with Star Gold HD. Max mainly shows Hindi movies when they don't have rights to any Cricketing Tournaments.

Dude this makes complete sense now.... I see bands on episodes on Koffee with Karan, Friends etc. on StarWorld HD. Not shot in HD I take it.
I guess they are taking this advert statement quite literally. But of course if HD content is aired it reaches our place in true hd.

Hehe.... on a sidethought... i guess Tsky and STAR is going over the top with this Asli HD (TM) thingy. Hope they do not anger the other Asli HD broadcasters on their way to stay away from Tsky.

Discovery HD is missing in this image. !!??!!

That's because Star subsidiary Star Den distributes all the channels advertised in the Ad.

Sony & Discovery's 'One Alliance' distributes Discovery Channels.

By the way, can anyone tell me where did this Ad appear? Would really appreciate the source. Thanks in advance!

i guess Tsky and STAR is going over the top with this Asli HD (TM) thingy. Hope they do not anger the other Asli HD broadcasters on their way to stay away from Tsky.

Even if they get angry, doesn't matter, since Dish TV is misleading customers with its Tru HD 30+ channel ad campaigns.

I feel Dish TV might soon replace its upscaled 'Tru' Star channels with Star's Asli HD offering 4 channels since yesterday. NGC HD already exists in Dish TV Tru HD...oops I seriously mean Fake HD

You know I personally would like Zee and TS to patch up because TenAction+ is one channel i am looking for in TS.

I dont care what Dish does with these Asli HD channels in any case as I am one who has experienced Dish and realized I made a big mistake. Anyways they do not have any Star Den channels on HD except NGC HD.

Me too. Rupert Murdoch (owner of Star, Sky, Fox etc)and Subhash Chandra Goel (operates Zee, Dish TV, Essel World, Fun Cinemas etc) are fierce rivals in the Media Industry.

Hope Ten Action+ is added soon though.
